Britini D’Angelo Fundraiser: Benefiting The Summit Center
June 15, 2021Britini D’Angelo is a recent houseguest on Big Brother Season 23 (CBS), where she was Juror #1 and cast a vote for the winner of the season. During the historic season 23 finale of “Big Brother” on CBS, host Julie Chen Moonves gave Britini the floor and she revealed to her fellow houseguests and to America, that not only is she a fourth-degree karate black belt, but that she has Autism. By doing this, her goal was to bring about increased acceptance & awareness to the neurodivergent community, and ultimately to stop multiple stigmas associated with Autism that are prevalent in society. Since home Britini has been featured in multiple articles and podcasts where she has continued to promote her message and advocate for those with Autism. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, Britini graduated from Niagara University (NU) in 2021 with her Masters in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, with additional certifications in Special Education Grades 1-6 and Theatre Education Grades K-12. She has received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Media Studies from Niagara in 2019. She is also a 4th Degree blackbelt, a three-time World Champion in the Chuck Norris System Karate, Valedictorian of the Class of 2019 at Niagara University, and a dancing Queen on TikTok. The Summit Center came to Britini’s home six days a week and did 40 hours of intensive one on one early intervention. They worked with Britini on communication, eye contact, following directions, reducing stims, socialization and teaching her basic preschool concepts. They also worked continually with her family to create new goals as she accomplished them. Britini eventually went to their school for half the day and then came back home for the other half. Later, they even came to her elementary school to work with her while the rest of the students napped in Pre-K 4. In Kindergarten, they came into Britini’s school and helped problem solve and create a positive environment with one phone call from her mom. They were truly Britini’s superheroes!

Shipment of Donated Medical Equipment to Zambia
June 15, 2021BACKGROUND
Rivers of Living Water Mission is a local church registered in Zambia under the Registrar Societies ACT of Zambia. The primary objective is to preach and teach the love of God through the distribution of Bibles/Biblical literature, economic help, foodstuff, clothing, and medical supplies irrespective of race, color, gender, religion, political affiliation, social status, or another status.
Since 2020, the organization in conjunction with our partners (Vitamin Angels) from the United States has been donating to Ndeke Village hospital Vitamins A supplements, De-worming tablets, and Multiple Micronutrients Supplements (MMS) to under-five children and pregnant mothers. Statistically speaking, the organization has cared for 7,250 under-five children and 400 pregnant mothers in the Ndeke Village community.
In December 2020 the organization partnered with Benevolent Healthcare Foundation T/A (PROJECT C.U.R.E) by providing donated medical equipment & supplies to hospitals and clinics in Zambia. The value of the donation is between US$300,000.00 and $350,000.00 per container. It was agreed that Rivers of Living Water Mission pay for shipment, participation fees, and return air-ticket for our partner`s Consultant for inspection of our health center in Ndeke Village.
In October 2021, the organization was approved by the Honorable Minister of Finance as a Public Benefit Organization (PBO). This was made possible due to the above-mentioned charity works done in our community. Facilitating the shipment of donated medical equipment itemized above will have an enormous impact on the health of the people of the Kamfinsa constituency and nearby communities who require complex surgical procedures and diagnostic testing must travel long distances to receive these services at prohibitively expensive costs.
Rivers of Living Water Mission has plans of using the Ndeke Village hospital as a medical mission field to complement the government`s efforts of providing good and affordable healthcare to the people of Zambia.
Once fully equipped, the hospital will create employment opportunities for the locals in the medical field and health education for the medical trainees. It will decongest the number of admitted patients to Kitwe Teaching Hospital thereby reducing the doctor/nurse/ midwifery to patient ratio which is in line with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Lastly, it will promote our country`s health policies which are modeled along with the national health vision of ``equity access to cost-effective and affordable health services, as close to the family as possible.
